Route: Almaty – Chilik river – Charyn Canyon – Altyn Emel NP – Almaty. Total biking 265 km.
Day 1
We start biking by tarmac road in a nice alley of trees from Talgar River bridge 20 km. and will visit Golden Man Museum. Then biking 40 km. to camp place near Chilik river.
Picnic lunch on a middle of biking.

Day 2
Transfer 15 km to Bogetty mountains well-known of Caucasian goats. It will be difficult to see that animals in day time of course. We cycling slowly up across dry rivers canals and small sand-bar willow groves to mountain pass 1520 m. Panorama over 360* to Ile river on NE, wide Sogetty valley on South somewhere there is Charyn river Canyon – the end of our journey today.
We’ll descent 10 km. partly in a small narrow rocky valley to bottom of Sogetty valley, cross main road (to China) again and by flat road arrive to National Park of Charyn river. Steep 3 km. descent to the Valley of Castles and we are in a cozy Yurt camp located on a cost of Charyn river between willow trees. (1080 m a.s.l; 70 km). Staggering sunset with giant rocky pillars around accompany our national style dinner.
Riding distance about 60km.
Day 3
Morning cycling 20 km to main road and transfer 190 km. 4 hrs. via Shonzha village and bridge across Ile River draining from China to Basshi village in Altyn Emel National Park in a hot desert area (1000 m). We’ll accommodate in hotel with hot shower and toilet cabins. Dinner in a café.
Day 4
Cycle 68km, by dirt road to “Shalash” place at the bottom of multicolored (from white to bright red) Ak Tau Mountains. Hiking on hills for panoramic photos. Transfer back to hotel in Basshi village.
Ride: 68 km.
Day 5
Cycle 45km by dirt road to the Singing Sand Dune. Lunch. Cycle back for 12km down to “Oazis Mynbulak”. After lunch transfer 240 km. to Almaty. End of tour.
Ride: 57 km.
Total biking 265 km.
