May 07. Transfer from Almaty to the west and start cycling on tarmac and off-road through
endless Kazakh steppe with stone hills 55 km. Camp near small water spring. D.
May 08. Today we’ll cross the rest of hilly steppe and go deep into the Tau Kum Desert
covered sparse Saxaul bushes. 60 km. Camp near small water spring. B,L,D.
May 09. We’ll cross last part of desert and arrive to the cost of Ile River with a willow trees.
After short rest we’ll go further along river to the camp place near main bridge. 55 km.

May 10. Today we’ll transfer by highway 160 km.3 hrs. and cycle 15 km. off-road to the
Canyon of Ile River to the bottom of high rocky cliff, where on a few places there are
unique pictures. After excursion we’ll cycle along river to the South 20 km and arrive to
highway near the main dam of Kapchagay lake. Transfer to Almaty. Tour ends. B,L.
